As part of our ongoing commitment to wildlife conservation, we are pleased to announce that our first bug hotel at Frilford Heath is now open. The project is situated in the pit between the 13th, 14th and 15th holes on the Red Course and is made from entirely recycled materials. The living habitat of insects & bugs are given a safe haven to live and provide a food chain for other creatures. Some wild invertebrates such as bumblebees and solitary bees, are declining in numbers in the wider countryside, so by providing homes we can contribute to their conservation.
We have also installed bird boxes both on the Yellow course and by the 13th, 14th & 15th holes on the Red course. This will hopefully encourage new nesting sites for birds.
