Membership At Frilford Heath Golf Club we currently have around 1200 full time members, ladies and men, with approx 100 junior members. With three courses and five different starting points this ensures that there is ample space to accommodate members and visitors alike. Membership at Frilford Heath entitles you to the full use of the clubhouse, courses and practice facilities. You can also make use of the conference room and hire the public rooms for private parties, weddings etc. The following benefits also apply:
We operate the following types of membership only at Frilford Heath Golf Club: Full Playing - Full seven day membership Country Membership - for those living outside an 80 mile radius from the club Cadet - Aged between 18 and 25 years Junior - Aged between 10 and 17years All of the above are applicable to men and ladies If you would like to gain membership of Frilford Heath Golf Club, we require you to fill in a membership application form. This should be supported by a recommendation from a Proposer and Seconder who should be members of the club of not less than three years standing and be well acquainted with the candidate. Two additional playing members should also sponsor the applicant. Neither proposer, seconder or sponsors shall be the husband or the wife of the applicant. If the applicant is not well known to members of the club, a letter of introduction from his/her previous club with a suitable reference and handicap will also be considered. Once we have received your application you will be invited to attend a new members meeting which is usually held the third Saturday in the month. Here, you will meet with the Captain, Secretary and members of the committee and they will run through the club rules etc. If everything is satisfactory after this meeting, your membership will be put to the General Committee two weeks later. The applicant MUST hold a valid handicap certificate. It must be stressed that the courses are championship courses and as such, are not suitable for beginners. On joining, the subscription fee is payable pro-rata with all of the entrance fee payable. (Cheque or cash only). The Clubs subscription year runs January to December and subscription fees are payable in advance on 1st January each year.
